Manchester United Valued Not to be Champion this Season

Manchester United have not improved enough to win the Premier League title this season. Similarly claimed by ESPN FC pandit, Craig Burley.
Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has splashed nearly 150 million pounds to bring in new signings this summer after ending last season's sixth-place finish.

The Red Devils are currently second in the standings with 19 points from seven matches, the same as Manchester City. But they must be willing in the second position due to lost on goal difference.

And Burley acknowledged that United this season was better than the squad owned by Jose Mourinho in his first year at Old Trafford. But he did not think they were at the level to end the competition as the best.

"I think they have stepped forward, I think they have made great strides forward.A Manchester club have gone well, we will find out where Chelsea is growing in all of this," he said.

"But I think it's clear Manchester United have made a step forward, the results say it.I think against the weaker teams last season, they gave too many points, they are not so clinical, not as strong as they should be, but now they have Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and still have Zlatan Ibrahimovic, "added the former Chelsea player.

"They also have Marcus Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, I think they have really stepped forward, but I do not think they won the league," he said.
